GridFusion uses a vendor-neutral energy model. Meters, batteries, inverters and PV arrays are represented as separate devices with their own capabilities. This also supports installations where storage, solar controllers, inverters and metering come from different vendors.

Initial target integrations

The initial target platform includes:

• Shelly Pro 3EM for local three-phase energy metering
• Solakon ONE as a battery system

Actual availability depends on device model, firmware, local interface and an approved driver profile. Naming a product is not a blanket compatibility promise for every variant.

Additional devices

New vendors are added through separate drivers. The GridFusion core consumes normalized power, energy, state and capability data only. A device may therefore expose special features without other products pretending to support them.

Automatic discovery

Local discovery can identify reachable devices and supported capabilities. Information that cannot be identified reliably must be confirmed manually. GridFusion does not guess registers, fields or power limits.

Controllable devices

Reading and control are separate capabilities. A device may be fully monitored without being authorized for writes. Control is possible only when:

1. the driver explicitly supports the operation;
2. device and meter data are valid;
3. local limits have been configured;
4. the central safety permission is enabled; and
5. no fault or update state blocks the action.

If any prerequisite is missing, GridFusion remains in the safe, non-controlling state.
