Frequently asked questions

Does GridFusion require permanent internet access?

No. Local metering, display and safe local functions are designed to operate without a permanent internet connection. New prices, weather data, server forecasts and updates require internet access.

Can GridFusion connect products from different vendors?

Yes. Products are connected through separate drivers and generic device types. Actual compatibility depends on model, firmware and documented local interfaces.

Can battery, PV controller and inverter be separate products?

The architecture represents meters, batteries, inverters and PV arrays separately. Full support for a specific combination depends on the available drivers and capabilities.

Does GridFusion control the battery automatically?

Only when a compatible driver, valid measurements, configured limits and explicit local write permission are present. Write permission is disabled by default.

What happens when meter values are invalid?

No new battery action is executed. The state is marked stale, invalid or degraded.

Are negative electricity prices supported?

Yes. GridFusion can process negative wholesale and tariff values. The final customer price still depends on the contract, taxes, levies and network charges.

Does Control 7 train AI on the device?

No. Server-side forecast improvement is optional and requires explicit data permission. Local safety remains independent of it.

Are passwords or raw registers uploaded?

No. Normal energy and diagnostic transfer is restricted to normalized and bounded values and excludes passwords, tokens, Wi-Fi credentials and raw registers.

Can I export my data?

Local history can be exported as CSV. Additional export and privacy functions for voluntary server data depend on account and contract.
