GridFusion knowledge
Answers, setup guidance and background information for Control 7.
GridFusion overview
GridFusion is a local-first energy management system. The physical 7-inch device is called Control 7. It combines the key information from an energy installation and clearly shows how energy flows between solar generation, the home, the battery and the grid.
What Control 7 does
- combines live generation, consumption, grid and battery data
- presents energy flows and device health in one clear view
- includes dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts
- explains decisions and their reasons
- provides local history and diagnostics
- connects compatible products through separate vendor drivers
- receives managed updates with safe rollback behaviour
Local first
Metering, display and safe local operation do not require a permanent cloud connection. If the internet is unavailable, local devices, live values and existing data remain usable. New prices, weather data, server forecasts and updates require internet access.
Safety before optimization
GridFusion never controls hardware using stale or invalid meter data. Compatible hardware control is not enabled by default and must be explicitly authorized. Device protection, BMS limits and electrical protective equipment always remain authoritative.
Who is GridFusion for?
GridFusion is intended for households, technically interested operators and qualified professionals who want to understand and optimize energy flows across vendors. Available functions depend on firmware, device profile, region, tariff and connected hardware.
